What is an herbal tonic?

An herbal tonic is a plant-based preparation intended to support the body through regular, consistent use. Rather than being taken only when something feels off, tonics are traditionally used as part of an ongoing wellness practice.

The concept of the tonic predates the modern supplement industry by centuries and appears across traditional systems of herbal medicine, from European and Chinese traditions to the plant medicines of the Amazon, where tonic preparations have long been used to strengthen, restore, and support the body over time.

Our tonics are concentrated liquid extracts made with carefully selected botanicals chosen to work together as a complete formula.

Why are tonics taken consistently, and should they be cycled?

Herbal tonics are generally best used consistently, allowing the body time to respond to the plants and the formula as a whole. Some people notice effects early, while others find that the benefits become more apparent with continued use.

Consistent use does not necessarily mean uninterrupted use indefinitely. Periodic breaks, often referred to as cycling, can create space to reassess how you feel, remain attentive to your body, and use plant medicine with intention.

Your individual rhythm may vary depending on the formula, your needs, and how your body responds.

As the medicine becomes part of your daily ritual, you begin to know it, trust it, and recognize how it works with you. la medicina en ti.

How should herbal tonics be stored?

Store your tonic tightly closed in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and excessive heat.

Refrigeration is not required.

Always keep the bottle clean and avoid allowing the pipette to come into contact with your mouth, hands, or other surfaces before returning it to the bottle.

How are herbal tonics used and dosed?

The suggested serving is listed on each product, as dosing may vary by formula.

Liquid tonics can be taken in a small amount of water, juice, or tea, or directly on the tongue and followed by a sip of water. Shake well before use to ensure an even serving.

Herbal tonics are intended to be used thoughtfully and consistently, rather than by continually increasing the dose. Each formula is developed around its suggested serving, and taking more does not necessarily produce a greater benefit.

If you take medications, have a medical condition, are pregnant or breastfeeding, or have questions about whether a tonic is appropriate for you, consult your healthcare provider before use.
